EDM has taken its new SEPTRE cabin crew training system to the IATA Cabin Operations Safety Conference in Madrid where 80 airlines are in attendance.
Tony Bermingham, EDM’s Managing Director says:
“EDM is providing demonstrations of SEPTRE to the delegation and we are receiving lots of interest from the airlines.”
SEPTRE is the industry’s most advanced training device as it combines synchronized motion, sound and visuals as they would be experienced in real life situations on-board the aircraft.
One of SEPTRE’s unique features is that it has a series of image generators on each window which provide a variety of seamless real-time scenes from land and ocean to sky scenes and special effects such as engine fire.
EDM has ensured that SEPTRE offers airlines a high degree of flexibility as it can be retrofitted to existing Cabin Emergency Evacuation Trainers (CEETs) or developed as a new solution in both fixed or motion based formats.
To date SEPTRE has been installed with all of the major Chinese airlines including Air China, China Southern, Hainan Airlines, Xiamen Airlines, Sichuan Airlines, Shandong Airlines and Shenzhen Airlines and will soon be installed as an upgrade to China Eastern’s existing A320 CEET.
