Salary = £14.24 per hour
Hours = 36 hrs per week, 4 day bi-weekly rotation across Mon-Fri

Based in Manchester we are currently recruiting for a Storesperson on a permanent basis to join our Stores Department. We have a wide variety of prestigious clients on some of the most exciting Military and Civil aviation training engineering projects around the world and this role will be instrumental in developing this area of our business.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsibility of goods inward offloading with an FLT, checking of quantities or dimensions, logged into stock and placed into storage.
- Assist in the year-end stock count process.
- Issue of material to the machine shop or benchwork jobs and ensure all material is logged against the relevant job ticket or flagged if incorrect.
- Where necessary, cut material to the appropriate size for production.
- Issue of Assembly kits to the production department and ensure shortages are highlighted.
- Use of the Company MRP system to investigate planning and purchasing transactions to liaise with production depts.
- Retrieve and log parts left to return in the MRP system and ensure these are posted or returned.
- Providing support to the logistics function when necessary with raising booking for scheduled collections.
Key Requirements
- Previous experience within a manufacturing/engineering environment.
- Able to work autonomously and run kitting lists on a daily basis.
- Flexibility to shift working and overtime when required.
- Computer Literate including use of Microsoft Offices Packages.
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems is advantageous.
- A strong team player with the ability to work effectively alongside production functions.
- Excellent process adherence – understanding the importance of process and that if followed the outcome will be right.
- Good planning and problem solving skills.
- Ideally you will have an FLT license.
- Ability to achieve UK security clearance essential.
