EDM completes KLM’s new training facility with high-fidelity CEETs

Manchester, UK. EDM, a leading global provider of training simulators to the civil aviation and defense sectors, announced today that with the ongoing development of our most recent project with KLM, we have successfully installed our advanced CEETs at their new Schiphol-based Training Centre, where they will be used daily to simulate and accommodate training in a wide range of Safety and Emergency Procedures (SEPs).

The B777 CEET on Motion, and the static B737 CEET, housed some of EDMs most advanced systems that simulate real-time flight in various scenarios. This was to successfully achieve KLM’s strict requirement of emulating flight in precarious situations, which adds further value to the KLM staff being trained.

In addition to this, the training experience is enhanced through the inclusion of key EDM effects such as:

• Smoke and fire simulation
• SEPTRE
• Decompression scenarios
• Full Boeing Communications System – adapted for KLM requirements
• Evacuation training
• Real-time Slide inflation training and more…
