EDM Ltd is proud to announce its association with Macmillan Cancer Support, the largest cancer care and support charity in the UK. Macmillan works to improve the lives of people affected by cancer, both those living with cancer and also their families and carers. The charity works as a vital source of support, providing practical, medical, emotional and financial support as well as raising awareness andworking to improve cancer care.
Tony Bermingham, EDM’s Managing Director said:
“EDM is really pleased to pledge its support to Macmillan by becoming a corporate partner. As a valued supporter, EDM has committed a business donation to help fund Macmillan’s services and, additionally, hopes to get further behind Macmillan by encouraging staff to participate in fundraising activities and raising awareness for campaigns.”
Becky Bainton, Macmillan Fundraising Manager for Greater Manchester said:
“It is great to have EDM on-board. Macmillan aims to be there for everyone affected by cancer and we cannot do this on our own so we greatly value the support that local businesses like EDM can give. By working together, we can ensure that any corporate partnership is innovative, exciting and produces mutually beneficial results.”
Some of the areas where EDM can get involved include:
Fundraising: Opportunity to improve internal communication, motivate staff, promote creativity or just have a lot of fun for a good cause.
Events & Sponsorship: An event in aid of Macmillan is a great way to get people involved, including staff, customers, clients or suppliers.
Campaign support: Employees and corporate partners can help to encourage people to get behind Macmillan campaigns and drive signatures for online petitions.
Tony Bermingham adds:
“EDM is already busy planning a series of activities and we hope that we can come up with a variety of ways to raise money and awareness in support of this very worthwhile cause.”
