EDM shortlisted for two major business awards

Manchester, UK. EDM, a leading global provider of training simulators to the civil aviation and defence sectors, has been shortlisted for major business awards organised by the Manchester Evening News and Insider News.

EDM is a finalist in the Manchester Evening News Business of the Year Award 2015 for companies turning over between £10m and £25m annually. The Newton Heath based manufacturer had to submit details of its business performance over the past 12 months and future growth plans as well as host a tour of its facility as part of the qualification process. EDM also had to present to a panel of judges ahead of the awards night at The Midland Hotel in Manchester on 12^th November. EDM won the Manchester Evening News Business of the Year Award in the £5m to £10m turnover category in 2009.

Last month, EDM was also shortlisted for the North West International Trade Awards 2015 run by Insider News for companies with annual revenues between £10m and £25m. The stringent selection process involved providing detailed information about the company’s financial and export performance over the past year followed by an in-depth interview at Insider’s offices in central Manchester. The winner will be announced at The Lowry Hotel in Salford Quays on 3^rd December.

EDM has won a number of industry awards in recent years including The North West EEF Future Manufacturing Awards for Outstanding Export in 2011 and the UKT&I North of England Best International Trade Award in 2013.
