Tony Bermingham
Managing Director
Tony has over 20 years experience in the Training and Simulation sector. Tony joined EDM in 1996 as Commercial Director overseeing all client contracts and has been instrumental in the strategic direction of the business over the past 10 years. Becoming Managing Director in 2012, Tony has led EDM to its position as the leading supplier of training and simulation devices worldwide. Tony is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer and also has a Master’s degree in Marketing.
Mick Bonney
Sales & Business Development Director
Mick began his career as an apprentice aerospace engineer at BAE Systems working on the Jaguar, Tornado and Eurofighter Typhoon. After a spell in Saudi Arabia, Mick returned to the UK to become a Technical Instructor, teaching aircraft systems and maintenance. After becoming Head Of Hawk Training and Simulation, he moved into business development. After joining Thales in 2003 selling civil airline simulators in the Far East, Mick joined EDM in 2005 as Head of Sales and Business Development and became a member of the Board in 2013 as Director – Sales and Business Development.
Stephen Grundy
Operations Director
Stephen joined EDM in 2015. He has over 32 years’ experience within the aerospace industry. Stephen started his career at BAE Systems, Woodford in 1989 on both civil and military aircrafts before heading to Airbus Wing Manufacture UK as Wing Build Integration Manager on the fast paced A320 wing manufacture. Stephen later took the role of Head of Production, responsible for all manufacturing and delivery responsibilities for Military, Civil, and Special projects here at EDM. During his time here his outstanding work has led to his most recent promotion, Operations Director.
Sarah Ferguson, MBA
Finance Director
Sarah has overall responsibility for all financial aspects of company strategy. She joined EDM in 2015 from automotive seating upholstery manufacturer, Proseat where she was Financial Controller from 2011. During her career, Sarah has also held senior finance roles with leading manufacturing companies including James Dewhurst, Akcros Chemicals and Great Lakes Chemical Corporation. Sarah holds a Masters degree in Accounting and Finance and qualified as a Chartered Management accountant in 1999. In 2020 she completed her MBA with the University of Manchester.
