Following an international tender lasting several months, EDM is pleased to announce that the company has been selected by Singapore Airlines to design, manufacture and install an A350 Door Trainer at Singapore Airlines Training Centre later this year.

The Door Trainer will comprise standard features and a number of bespoke features will be added including limited functional AAP, tablet IOS, bi-folding lavatory door and lavatory cubicle and touch screen FAP.

Tony Bermingham, EDM’s Managing Director said:

“We are very pleased to have been chosen as the preferred supplier of Singapore Airlines for their A350 cabin crew training equipment. EDM is proud to have achieved repeat custom from Singapore Airlines, having previously delivered a number of door trainers to the airline including A330 L1 and L2 doors and an A380 door trainer. We look forward to continuing to build upon this successful relationship and reinforcing EDM’s strong presence in Asia.”

EDM is also currently working on an A350 door trainer project for Ethiopian Airlines and has recently delivered an A350 door trainer to Cathay Pacific.

Tony Bermingham adds:

“EDM is the lead supplier for A350 cabin training equipment and we are pleased to have secured the company’s third A350 customer with Singapore Airlines. We intend to continue this leadership and be the supplier of choice for airlines all over the world for their cabin crew training requirements.”

EDM has an unrivalled track-record for developing and delivering training devices for new aircraft types and was one of the first companies worldwide to develop a simulated door trainer for the B787; becoming a lead supplier for ‘Dreamliner’ cabin training equipment.
