China Eastern Airlines’ B777 Door Trainers reach Shanghai

EDM has delivered and installed two B777 Door Trainers to China Eastern Airlines’ cabin crew training centre in Shanghai. This new installation follows the recent delivery and installation of an A320 Door Trainer by EDM to the airline in November 2013.

The B777 Door Trainers  comprising of L1 and L3 doors include the following features:-

• Internal normal door operation
• Emergency opening with power assist
• Door mode selector – arm/disarm
• Gust lock
• Manual slide inflation handle
• Door assist handles
• Exit lighting
• Visual screens on L1 and L3
• Simulated audio sounds
• Instructor operating system
• Integrated door training malfunction
• Handle jam
• Door jam
• Emergency opening power assist failure
• Auto slide inflation failure
• Manual slide inflation
