EDM is pleased to announce that it has been selected by All Nippon Airways (ANA) to design, manufacture and install new Boeing B777 and B767 Door Trainers for the airline. EDM was awarded the new business as part of an international tender with delivery expected at the end of February 2014 at ANA’s training centre in Ota-ku, Tokyo.
The Door Trainers will comprise fully functional main doors with attendant seat, local monuments and EDM standard features including:-
• Internal normal door operation
• Emergency opening with power assist
• Door mode selector – Arm/Disarm procedures
• Gust Lock
• Manual Slide Inflation Handle
• Door Assist Handles
• Simulated audio sounds
• Exit lighting
• Instructor Operating system (IOS)
• Integrated door training malfunctions
• Handle jam
• Door jam
• Emergency opening power assist failure
• Auto slide inflation failure
• Manual slide inflation

This year, EDM has announced several new projects for the manufacture and provision of cabin crew training devices to several flag airlines based in Asia including China Eastern Airlines, Philippine Airlines and Garuda Indonesia Airlines.
