Jet2.com’s New £8.5m EDM-Equipped Centre is Now Open!

We are excited to share some news from the world of aviation with you. Manchester-based EDM has recently announced a significant contract with Jet2.com, a leading leisure airline. The contract involves the manufacturing of multiple training devices for Jet2.com’s new state-of-the-art training centre located in Cheadle, Greater Manchester, UK.

Jet2.com is investing in a brand-new training centre, providing a bespoke centre of excellence for its new and current pilots, engineers, cabin crew, and ground operations colleagues. The aim is to ensure that the airline has highly-trained colleagues who can continue to provide the company’s award-winning customer experience.

As the leading global provider of training simulators to the civil aviation and defence sectors, EDM will manufacture several trainers for Jet2.com’s new facility. These include a Cabin Trainer, B737NG Extended Door Trainer (L1 & OWE), A321 L1 Door Trainer, A321 Mid-Cabin Door Trainer, A321neo ACF OWE Trainer, A320 plug-OWE Trainer, and Flight Deck Door Access Trainer (FDDAT).

In addition to the manufacturing of the devices, EDM will provide delivery, installation, and an in-service support contract for the new facility. This end-to-end service ensures that Jet2.com’s training centre is fully equipped and ready to train highly-skilled professionals for the aviation industry.
